Electronic Poker is a favored game that is able to be bet on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your home computer, using a web account. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the best assemblage of cards possible in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player puts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the player has decided on which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be dealt if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Typically, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that knowledgeable gamblers are agile enough to choose the most money-making ones each time.
As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game give the gambler a chance to double their profits, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
